STABLE MANAGER

After selling Easy Decision, the beginning of her Junior year in high school, Susan began working part time at some of the local stables in the area.. First at a Quarter Horse barn helping condition halter horses and then at a horse humane society; this is where a love for caring for the sick and injured horse began to flourish.

In 1984/85, Susan began to attend the former Equine Management program at Lake Shore Tech in Cleveland Wisconsin. Susan then went on to pursue a business degree. In 1994 she once again found herself in horses obtaining a job at an eventing barn where she became quite prolific at speed-braiding and poultice wraps.

Later that same year a friend purchased a boarding stable named Willow Run, Susan took a job as co-barn manager and that is where she met Becky Rao and well, as they say, …”the rest is history.”

Susan lives on the horse property with her husband, son, daughter and four barn cats.
